Title: Lt40hd for parts on auction
Post by: Erik A on November 30, 2022, 08:16:38 PM
Ran across this one on auction.

It is to late to bid on it unless you already have an account, but thought it might be good info for people looking at used ??

That's just down the road from me but $5,100 seems pretty steep when you can't preview it and they think the frame is bent!

It would make an awesome sawmill extension if it weren't bent.  It is too far away for it to be worthwhile.

Well the motor is junk, the setworks is no longer supported, based on the description you have to presume the frame is bent, especially since you can't inspect it, so the actual market "value" is scrap metal price.

Sad.

Maybe an inside deal?  They used to do that at my old job.  Give a really bad impression of the condition and an employee picks it up for a song.

I suspect that the "bent frame" was someone not understanding the angled position of the axle frame under the monorail to make it track properly.
