Hey all I've never tried this forum but my mill is old so I thought someone on here may be an old timer.
When I try to pinch my cant after I've squared it up and have the pinch in the lowest position, when I tightened the pinch it lifts the can't off the bed if I put even the lightest pressure on it, so guess what, not square anymore. Any thoughts or ideas from y'all?
Thanks
Randy
Are your backstops square to the bed rails? Not sure about that year model but they should be adjustable.
You have some slack/wear either on the side support side as LeeB suggested or on the clamping side. You will probably need someone to watch as the clamping pressure is applied. Also if the clamp (pincher) is not square the cant could be "squirting" upward as pressure is applied.
On my 87 lt30 they are adjustable

Maybe your clamp is not low enough towards the bed rails.
