The Forestry Forum

I have noted Kevin not replying on posts for almost a month.  Does anyone know if he is okay.  

I think he might've gotten the ban hammer. A quick search turns him up on other forums.

You dont run your mouth to the admins twice here. Thankfully I didn't have to do it or have anything to do with it because all the admins here are fully capable of taking care of business.

I know we have pretty strict rules here and i don't care, it takes the badmouthing away. But I surely miss Mike and I'm probably not the only one. I know he could get tangled up real fast in politics and other not desired topics. But the guy brought some knowledge to the forum. Hillbilly knowledge I never heard of! ;)

In defence of forum credibility there has to be some strict but fair policy. I was heavily involved in moderating and maintaining a forum in the past( not related to forestry) and soon found out the broad range of human behaviour, especially behind anonymous keyboards.

There was nowhere near the number of members that the forestry forum has but the dynamics were the same regardless. Yes the rules seem strict at times and I have been at the receiving end of them myself but I asked for it. We all signed on and agreed to the rules of participation upon joining conditions.

For the amount of people that are members here I commend Jeff and other moderators on what they have accomplished here. NOT an easy job!

No idea what happened . But I will say I will miss his experience being shared here. I enjoyed most of his posts.
That being said I have been a member on many forums over many years now . Those forums have involved many , many different subjects, past times, hobbies.  This forum is by far the most civil I have been on . Not overly heavy handed but also zero tolerance for BS by the staff seems to of created a pretty great forum.
