I know there is a shortage of Truck Drivers, but how early is too early to start recruiting? :D
Doing mail and deliveries today at a small local school. Junior class was out on the road getting a guided tour of a 55 ton Kenworth log truck.

I also notice that the School gets a copy of the "NZ Truck and Driver" magazine delivered each month.

Good for the schools. and. Good for the kids.
Around here, the state education department has encouraged the schools to remove tools from shop class rooms and now they call it "tech" class.
As a builder, I can not find any students who want to help on jobs. Or young adults.
As a home owner we find it hard to find young folks who are going into the trades to repair appliances, the buildings, cars, etc.
Who is going to take care of all of those machines as we older folks age and retire. I don't believe that the computers and automatic intelligent devices are going to climb on my roof and figure out where that leak is.
So, I repeat. Good for the schools.
