Not sure if this is the correct place, but I'm looking for best practices for basal sprouted trees such as oaks. I have a closed canopy woodland that I'm trying to manage. We've been using Tordon on the cambian layer once we cut these trees, but sometimes they get missed and it's an expensive product. Or, when we do controlled burns in the spring, the basal regrowth is way too vigorous.
Just wondering if anyone has a Triclopyr/surfactant tank mix that they've seen good results from. I also prefer an option like this due to the fact that it doesn't have such a detrimental effect on soil health. Thanks in advance.
