Title: Fungus Kill

Ok, recently I decided to mill up a fungus killed Doug Fir and someone asked me something I hadn't considered:

Does the fungus die in drying or do you have to treat the lumber?

I know the stump has to be treated but never thought about the lumber

Fungus likely needs moisture to grow.
