I'm finally pulling the trigger on acquiring a forwarding trailer. I think it will be a great addition to the firewood and sawmill business.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience pulling one behind a skidder? We have a small tj 207 and I figured I could pull the trailer behind it with a hydraulic power-pack to minimize the skidding distances. I found the following thread:
Forwarding trailer for cable skidder do they work good? (https://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?PHPSESSID=4mp2lh92tjou63bksunvfu6kd6&topic=65662.20)
With a very helpful picture by jd540b's hitch design. Does anybody have any other examples of the hitch they use?
thank you
