I am building a sawmill using pillow block bearings for the band wheels and I notice the bearings move and throw the blade out of alignment or off the wheel. Is there a rule of thumb for aligning the bearings to help stop this? Thanks
Where are the bearings located. Both on one side of the wheel or one each side?
Either way, typically you need a means to adjust blade tracking. This can be done with sort of a "jacking" bolt that pushes on the foot of the bearing. Once it's positioned properly, then the bolts holding the bearing torqued down tight.
Really need some good pics to see your set-up to better understand what needs to be done.
