Bidens or Devils Beggarticks?
Does it have a yellow or white flower? A somewhat invasive plant that grows in moist areas and around ponds.
Its budding now, and looks like they will be yellow.
The flowers will give your ponds a lot of color.
We have a bunch of blackeyed susans blooming right now down there and clover and asters
Great diversity of vegetation. Is there any duckweed? The mallards will really like that as well as wood ducks and other waterfowl.
What happened with the Hastas?
Speaking of hostas, the deer just found mine.
Saves me the bother of cleaning them up. :wacky:
The Hastas are hanging in there and flowered. We have water smart weed, but no duckweed. We planted some day lillys and they have been blooming.

If I were to guess (and use my plant Id app),
the app I would say three-lobed beggartick (
Bidens tripartita), aster/sunflower family. Common shore plant in much of North America.
