My ignorance of the carb on a Stihl 012 AV ruined the part that contacts the flat near the end of the throttle shaft.


I removed the C clip on the throttle shaft and then drove it out from that end, ruining the "plunger?" that was hidden by the gasket.

I have the parts diagram for this carb, but can't tell what part contacts this flat.

I also need the torsion spring shown in this image.

A closeup of the munged part will help.  The diagrams aren't very good on what fits where.

1120 122 3002 is the part number for the spring you need.

Of course, you could always visit your stihl dealer for help.
