Title: Treasure
Post by: Peter Drouin on December 25, 2024, 09:11:22 PM
Out off on Lake Michigan next to Poverty Island A shipwreck carrying $400 Million in gold!
I found out you can't take anything off the bottom without permission from the State. Do you know anything about this Boss?

Usual news like this is someone trying to raise money for a treasure recovery mission. 99% of the time it's either a outright scam, they take the money and run. Or a wild goose chase, where they honestly spend the money looking, but don't find anything.

What I saw was Oak Island guys looking for a ship that went down there. The brothers grew up in Michigan. They had 3 divers with a video and found the dabree field. They ran out of air. Going back with an underwater robot .

They are doing a hell of a good job on Oak Island.

I followed that short series, but they never came to a conclusion the following year.  It was supposedly Civil War gold that was gotten from the Confederacy and brought back in railroad cars.  There was an interesting story involved with it, which I can't quite recall.  Look up Lake Michigan Civil War gold and you'll find all sorts of articles on it.  Value of $2 million and it was in a box car.

The supposed treasure ship is the Westmoreland shipwreck found by wreck hunter Ross Richardson in 2010 off Frankfort, MI in Lake Michigan. My good friend Dusty Klifman has filmed the wreck.
