I was cleaning/organizing tonight and came across this. I found it last spring on Marketplace. It's a Christiansen vise. I know becuase I own an antique Christiansen woodworkers bench with the same vise and an end vise. This vise will work well on a new top I make for another bench. I can't remember for sure but maybe I paid $125??

There are worse things to be addicted to, that's for sure!
Done good!!!
Some of man's vise's are pretty old.
Brad bb:
I suggest you get your dictionary out and look up vice and vise.
Based on your title I was not expecting what you showed!

GAB -
@Brad_bb is very literate and this was most likely a finger drag or, much more likely, on purpose.
Typos catch my eye as well, but I'm really hoping he just passes over your comment with a sly smile.
That comment from
@rusticretreater definitely was funny and sly.
For example, look at that fox
@customsawyer - his 'Sourthern' thread purporting to be about ticks, gnats and chiggers.
Ha! That 'typo' blew up the FF with 10 pages of high quality input. About almost everything under the sun. Even ice fishing. Amazing.
GAB, consider letting spell-check and the other "@&$!!!-check do their work.
Lets Let the creative genius's work!

OK if you insist.

So BB's vice now is having another vise. ffcool ffcool ffcheesy ffcheesy
No problem there.
That was the way that I read it.
Yes, an intentional play on words. :wink_2:
@Andries Thanks for the compliment. That could make my head swell!
Ah so we are conflating Vice with Vise and vice versa while discussing a man's vises he says are his vice.
Brad, if your head swells too much... well there is your vise/vice. although I speak English, I make mistakes when typing fast. I am conceptual not literal and really like puns. We were having issues when a kindergarten teacher wanted to fail my son for not reading at grade level. turns out two other boys she held back the year before in a class of 12, were teasing him he could not read, and he got so nervous he couldn't. In the discussion, she said she taught things like the proper way to spell gray/grey. I had to then ask her well which is it? there two correct ways to spell gray/grey. One is a color, and one is a name, mostly. Put both kids in public school. the Christian school was pushing kids to "prove" they were superior to public schools. All the studies show the reading early all averages out by age 18. I had to make a dozen corrections to this post. I guess I should have left them. GAB, it is all good. I know you are literal, a perfectionist and mean well. Carry on.
And hew have too remember English is a really hard language two learn because sew mini words sound thee same butt are spelled differently four different applications.
Ewe our own too something Howard. Dare our eh lot uh words that sound oar our spelt like sum utter won. Dew two are vast vocabulary, whee kin gittum mixt up from thyme too thyme.
Won, two, fore, ate, tin.
There, they're, their.
The, thee
a, eh,
I, eye, aye
Grey, gray
night, knight
right, write, rite
meat, mete, meet
feel, fill, Phil
boar, bore, Boer
so, sew,
log, logue
weather, whether
or, ore, oar
Which witch flew out of the (thee) flue to (too, two) spread the flu on (own) a cloudy grey (gray) night (knight)? Sew mini of us ewes thee words that suite innie and awl sit ewe ate shuns.
There are worse vices to have, nothing wrong with an old one as long as it doesn't cause problems and you can keep it behind closed doors.
