Title: Husqvarna 272xp fuel line
Post by: newfie bullet on January 29, 2025, 11:09:09 AM
The fuel line rotted out in the tank on my 272xp, I went to dealer and got a new one , it's pigtail style . When I took the old one out it had a grommet style in there. Will the pigtail style work I should I try and get the grommet style? Didn't want to put the new pig tail one in if it will leak gas , once put in I can't return it
Thanks Newfie

Easy solution. All you need to do is get the separate tank grommet as used on saws such as the 55. I can post the part number tomorrow if needed. (Ain't going out back to the shop in this sleet/rain mix.   ffsmiley)

Dealer should have known there's a difference between early and later model 272's. Earlier units used the same grommeted line as the 268 and 266. Later saws had a smaller tank hole that used the same pig tail line as the 372.

There is more interchangeability and options with this stuff than you'd think. Really only 2 diameter tank holes. But Joe-counter person relying on the computer instead of real world experience is at a disadvantage.
