Title: Valmet 546 Woodstar - hydraulic filter part #? Any parts machines?
Post by: miketclew on April 07, 2025, 11:22:17 PM

Any Valmet 546 forwarder operators out there still? Looking for a replacement hydraulic filter. The number in my book (0066 0200) is not coming up with anything on my internet searches. Also curious if there are any parts machines around.

Where are you from ? Helps in what direction to send you for parts. Quick search showed a couple in U.P boneyards, couple north of me in Quebec, saw a couple complete ones for sale on marketplace. Anderson in Bangor is who I would call for Valmet parts if your on the east coast.

Anderson in Bangor then. I called yesterday on a price to go thru a computer for an 860.3, asking about parts available and the guy was good. Down here in NY you might as well beat your head against the wall for forestry parts when calling basically anywhere, guys up in Maine are fortunate even Nortrax is decent to call.

Roland Machinery in Michigan might be worth calling if Anderson cannot help.
Is it a spin on filter or a cartridge type? My 646 is a cartridge that is encased in a metal frame with magnets. You have to take it out of the frame to renew, and see any numbers.
