Title: john deere 450e bulldozer transmission trouble
Post by: edwaraus02 on April 10, 2025, 08:24:26 AM
i bought a 450e and discovered the tranny had water in it so i drained the  fluid and did a filter change. it then ran strong with no slippage . then i did it again for good measure. now it will barley pull its own weight after a hour of use. any suggestions?

I never have been around a e model much but I've had several b and c models and I'm pretty sure they share the same transmission. If it is there's a screen filter on the right side that's inside the transmission. They should be round plate that unbolts and pull it and clean it. I just hope the water hasn't hurt the pump that supplies pressure to the clutch packs.
