Title: Deere 753g help
Post by: Jrock69 on May 29, 2025, 03:18:21 PM
Wondering if anyone on here knows much about 753g bunchers.
Mine runs and operates great. But I have an issue where it will shut off and turn back on again, at random. Very quickly, mostly making the engine sound like a small hiccup. The odd time it will sound like it stalls for even a touch longer. Will do it some days 20 times sometimes None. Doesn't seem to affect the operation much but it's a serious annoyance none the less. Not sure where to even start

Loose wiring plug, bad wire to the key switch, bad fuse, where I would start hunting first. What head are you running ?

Its running the gn Roy head.
I suppose I also should have mentioned it has a 9.0 John Deere engine.
I've also had a couple of occasions where it slid off of a rock or something violently and it shuts right down

Shooting from the hip here dont know the machine but it does sound electrical. You could ohm out the wires that go to IP or computer whatever energizes the fuel solonoid on the IP coming from the key to see if theres a break or a short somewhere.

Does read like the issue has some characteristics of a faulty crankshaft position sensor (CKP).
So more than one issue?
Check the easy external stuff first.
