Hello, i am a new member and I want to say thanks for letting me join. I having been sawing for a few years now. I just bought a Kasco 2B sawmill and was wondering if anyone has a picture or information on the 12 volt motors that run the up and down and feed. I would like to get some repair parts on hand. The info plate on my motor is faded and parts of it are missing. Any help would be much appreciated.
Welcome, I can't help you with the sawmill motors but someone who can will probably show up.
I wasn't able to find a member with a Kasco mill search here. An electric motor repair shop should be able to identify it though. Is the manufacturer still producing?
I did a search on you tube, there was a guy with a Kasco mill and he had some information on the motors. The motors i have are working, but the mill is getting older and parts seem to dry up or become obsolete.
I have a homemade mill and was having issues with both my up and down and feed motors both needing work 2 years ago. They are different. The motor information on my up and down plate was faded from the sun but the feed motor info was readable because of the placement. Ironically, the Motor repair shop was able to fix my up and down motor. The feed motor had to be replaced. It was a Dayton motor.

Thanks for the picture and information. I will look up that model number and see it it looks like the motor on my mill.
Can you stick your phone underneath the motor and take a Pic of it?
The tag on the motor is faded and missing but i can take a picture tomorrow of what i have.
