Hello and thanks for accepting me. Primarily raise cattle, got some land recently that needed clearing. Someone convinced the bossman to get a hydro ax instead of us just clearing it with a dozer. Machine had a Fecon mulching head on it. We switched it to a bush hog head, researched and confirmed that it needed to be hooked up to the high flow side. It worked for maybe 5 minutes. The pump still "flows" in both directions but very little.  I did find that there is a small module box that plugs in before the solenoid on the pump. Could this be electrical or did the pump decide to die?

On the 721E the hydraulics for the implement are closed loop same as the hydrostatic drive.  So potentially if there was contamination in the mower hoses or hydraulic motor that would immediately flush debris into the rotating group in the implement pump. Even debris in new hoses can cause this,  especially if the hose was cut with a chop saw.  

I suggest checking the charge pressure on the pump. If your losing charge flow somewhere the pressure will be too low and there won't be enough pressure to stroke the pump.
