I am working on an old Craftsman chainsaw, and am in need of a sprocket bearing. (old one is disintegrated). I have checked and cannot get them through Sears parts (although I can get the sprocket.)
My question: Where can sprocket bearings be obtained for this (and any other older saws? - I have others as well.)
Thank you for any feedback.
Is that for a 7/16 shaft?
FH, I might be able to help, do you have the sprocket part #? Most of what I have are spur sprockets.
The Sears part no. is 9089H , listed as a "needle bearing."
It is actually the sprocket bearing - the bearing on the shaft the clutch and sprocket ride on.
the shaft diameter is 7/16 inch.
The chainsaw model no. is 917.353750
Oregon(Blount) should have them, write their tech staff and ask them, it's probably a Poulan saw.
Ask about this part number 28006, sprocket and bearing.
