Title: Party
Post by: Corley5 on September 14, 2002, 09:07:05 PM
Just wanted to pass this along.  Saturday October 5th 2002 Dee and I are going to tie the knot.  After seven+ years of co-habitation and a 4 month old we decided it was time.  The wedding is at 2:00PM at the Free Methodist Church in Wolverine.  The reception, which is the most important part the rest is a formality, is at Corwith Township Hall in Vanderbilt and starts at 6:00PM.  We're having a pig roast and beer.  Everyone here is invited.  Come on up or down and join the party!!!!!

DanG! Will you accept a metal thing that looks like a giant mosquito that hung on the TOH for a weeding present? If so I'll try to be there! ;)  I gotta have some excuse to get that to ya.

Congratulations, Greg and Dee! 8) 8) 8)

Gosharootie, a DanG pig roast is hard to turn down!  We'll have to see what's going around here at that time. I've drove that far fer a pig roast before, and I never regretted it.

G'day C5,

Thanks for the invite.  If I start swimming now on a heading of 54.8 degrees, and can get the 8424 miles (13557 km) (7320 nautical miles) under my belt by the 5th Oct, I'll be there!!!  ;) ;) :D :D ;D ;D :o :o
Seriously, I hope you have a great day and I wish you both all the best.
We have here in NZ, what we call a 'spit roast', where you skewer the whole pig through the middle and turn it rotisserie style over an open fire.  Is this what you mean by a pig roast? ???
By the way, the figures are correct, from Auckland to Wolverine!! :o :o :o :o
Cheers,
Charlie.

I might only make the reception, so here goes:
Initial heading from Auckland to Vanderbilt: northeast (54.9 degrees), 8418 miles (13547 km) (7315 nautical miles).
 ;) ;) :D :D ;D ;D :o :o :o :P :P :P 8)
Cheers
Charlie. ;)

Congrats on the wedding C5! Also thanks for the invite but just a bit to far for a pig roast. All is well with the little one?

The little guy is doing great 8) 8)  He had his second round of shots today and isn't real happy about that but who would be?  He now weighs in at 15lbs and is 26" tall.  The doctor also said it was time to start eating more than formula and cereal.  Tonight he had a jar of banana baby food.  He was pretty impressed with it ;D 8).  He is going to be my best man with Dad as his escort :) :) 8)

Split roast pig roast sound like there the same thing.  Your mileage sounds right.  Wolverine is 9 miles north of Vandy by the x-way.  Be sure to were your life jacket and bring your shark repellent with you ;D ;D.  I'd take Jeff up on his offer too

Does Shark repellant work on Wolverines?

G'day Jeff,
Is that Harrison with a pop of around 25000, or the Harrison in Clare County with a pop of around 1900? ???
OK, if its the big Harrison MI, Initial heading from Auckland to Harrison: northeast (56.1 degrees), 8382 miles (13489 km) (7284 nautical miles).
Getting better, but I had not taken into account the shark repellant.  How much does a 50 gallon drum weigh anyhoo??
Dragging that could seriously slow me down.  :D :D ;D
Cheers

It sounds as though you folks have the event well organized and the pig will be well done, also.  May there be many happy more youngens in your lives as well as prosperity and happiness.  Hang in there Dee, I hear tell that sawyers get better with time. 8) 8) 8) 8) ;D

C5 & Dee. I really wish I could be there with you tomorrow. It sounds like a real hoot, and I hate to miss it. Maybe you could schedule an anniversary pig roast someday.

The three of you have my best wishes for peace and prosperity for many years to come.
