Greetings. Had read in a book about some lighthouses and a shipping or historical museum in the vicinity of Preque Isle Michigan. One of the places had a county park that had a campground. Info was in a book I checked out, ( library ) don't know how old the book was and wondered if it was still in existense. Anybody familiar with the area or the park who can share some info?
 Also how late in the year do most of the Michigan State Parks keep the showerhouses open in their campgrounds? I am sure the UP would probably have some closed sooner than than the lower penn. Anybody got favorite campground suggestions for an early to mid october trip? Thanks for your help - Saki
