Title: Log dogs lubed up a little too well.
Post by: broker farmer on December 20, 2005, 11:19:13 AM
I was having trouble making adjustments on my log dogs on my manual mill.  They were "sticking" and not moving back and forth in a smooth manner.  I had the great idea to "lube" them with WD 40.  Man, was that a mistake!  Now they will not hold, especially the over-center ratchet that clamps down to the log.  Anybody got any ideas how I can get them back in working order?

Put some mineral spirits in an old spray bottle and spray where you placed the wd-40.  That will remove it.
