I'm not really happy with any of the parties :(  None of them align completely with how I feel about issues, oh well, better than if it was no democracy!

I'm quite happy because I like how well "this hour has 22 minutes" can make fun of Stephen Harper. This will just be fuel to their fire.   :D

A majority would have been nice but what the heck, were Canadians and we'll take what we can get eh.

After some time in Carleton county I'd be speaking about things like this:

Once we done the patay duh break we should get out to da woods. Dat was some good skidder der ain't she wha? we be just a pith-cuttin her true da woods except dat der ain't a stick in der big enough to beat a dog with.  Just big enough to get the wheeler fetched up on and need to get the fringgin wench out unless you just giv'er instead.

Now of course I went to school with the Carleton County french immersion students and learned a bunch more but I can't pull much else up outta my head right now ;D

Will be interesting to see if another minority government can do anything constructive or will we get an  election in 18 months with the Conservatives blaming all their woes on the mess left by the Liberals. Now if Hedy Fry can just keep her mouth shut ::)
Jeff is close enough to be an honourary Canucklehead but Fred is questionable ;D

Maybe they'll have to start a modern version of the Underground Railroad to help people escape the oppression on this side of the border. :D :D
Hey Swamp Donkey, is this Frank McKenna fellow who is presently the Ambassador to the US (or something like that) the same fellow who used to be your Premier, or whatever you call your "governor"?  I remember seeing signs the last time I was in New Brunswick, probably 12 to 15 years ago, saying in French and English that they had "No Trust in McKenna, or some such wording.

I am glad he won maybe he will get rid of abortion and the rights/marriages for gays. Also a few stupid other things.  One thing i wish canada would change is the metric system it has that place all messed up.  Its like asking americans to be charged per quart for gasoline. If people where smart they would go to the states to fill up and back across the border.  I need to add more pics of the job in vancover.  That place is booming with work Alberta is going to be big in the next ten years. Starting pay i was hearing from a guy whos kid just went there is 125k canadian a year maybe i should go there instead of working in vancover.  Like i have said before if china is allowed to invest in that place meaning the oil in the dirt up there.  You just better put up a white flag.

Hallo Mometal 77,  no offence but I'd (maybe we?) prefer not to take the thread in that direction.

And if you could start at 125K in Alberta I would be there.  My best friend drives a heavy haul truck in Fort McMurray for 28$/hr but his one bedroom condo would cost 2000$ a month to rent unfurished/unheated.

Yeah 125k is stretchin it quite thin. More like $45k - $60k and high cost of living, plus no tax break for isolation pay. They are crying for potential employees up there, that's why they're willing to pay that much, otherwise you'de be gettin considerably less.

Hey if the Americans changed their system like they were suppose to maybe the Hubble would have worked better. :o :o I'm sure the metric signs and such are still in storage somewhere in the States, they just have to pull them out.  ;)

I live 5 kilometres from the Peace Arch crossing (or 3 miles). People do go over for gas - or used to - you save about .20 cents a litre, but waste a 1/2 hour of your time, if you're lucky. Its kind of like a crap shoot now, you can be delayed at either border crossing and you pretty much need a passport to go south. Plus with the Canadian border guards running away from their post now, it's kind of hard to get home. :D :D
