Ernie and Darla live about 2 hours from our home in Copemich Michigan. Near Traverse City. Darla has a blacksmithing shop there where she creates amazing works of art. She is also the head blacksmith for the giant Buckely old engine show in Buckley michigan. Recently Traverse Magazine did a story on Darla. You can read the story by clicking on her photo.
Darla and Ernie, THANK YOU!

Oh my goodness, what a good bunch of people supporting the Forum.
It was a real pleasure to do this for the Forestry Forum even if it has made me a Forestry Forum widow.
I know Ernie has gotten a lot of good information and quite a few chuckles from this forum and it was a pleasure to meet so many nice prople at the pig roast last year.
Thanks to everyone for their support.
Darla
We should know who the top bid winner is by tomorrow Super Bowl time.
I'd like to have seen the sequence of converting that rake into that fine work of art. :)
I started watching on rfdtv called the forge & anvil once a week and some of the best fancy iron blacksmithers are women . When I see how fancy this suncatcher is I want to outbid all of you but christmas has put the clamps on me from doing so . I bet I will see Darla on that show . 8)
Hey Buck, what time is that show on? I would like to watch it. We have discovered TIVO at our house, and it is GREAT! We have recorded every Wood Works show made, and really enjoy it. I would like to see the blacksmithers also. It has always interested me.

Thanks Uncle Buck, I'm a gonna be watching for that one! :)
