We took this at my mom-in-laws place where I cut pine in on Lake Winnsboro. My wife said this would make a good picture. They do have their necks strectched out I guess to catch as much warmth through their skin as possibel? Maybe some of you turtle experts can opine to us laymen about the scientific reason.

And then of course there is the harsher side of nature. This was about 100 feet north of the floating turtle village .........
