Welcome Lumberjenny, from a fellow hillbilly.
All this rain here in the hills is making me soggy. :D We are able saw some but it's sloppy...how about you?
Quinton
what part of WV you from? I hail from Berkeley County. i'm a maryland transplant now. used to travel all over the state as a kid in 4-h stuff and other family adventures.
Welcome to the forum Jenny!
I have a shed over my mill so sawing in the rain is not that bad, it's just a pain in the nasty getting the logs out of the woods to the mill. I live in mercer co. and was wondering if there was anymore hillbillys in the forum. Hey fellow hicks :D
Yep......ima hick ;)
Thorobread here :)
Lotta of us hicks round here ;D ;) :) Welcoem to the Forum LJ
Welcome to the forum LumberJenny. It sure is a great place to listen, learn and put in your own two cents worth.
Welcome lumberjenny. There are likely more of us hichs here than non hicks, just some of us can't afford to live in them thar hills, we are stuck with the low lands. Remember, when the water runs past you it all ends up at the bottom of the hill sooner or later, us low land hicks get flooded but we learn to swim and the lumber floats. 8) ;D
Welcome LJ. My wife frequently takes command of my mill :o. I've taken to covert cuttin ;D
Welcome L J!!
Hickness is a requirment for residence in AR... :D :D :D

Hey - I have a button down shirt on in the picture and slacks. How in the world does that look like a Hick?
Okay, okay - I am originally from the Ozarks of Missouri. I suspect that makes me a hillbilly. ::)
LumberJenny - you sure don't want to be a bee keeper down here - we have some really mean ones!
One thing that you might find interesting though, there is a native bee here that makes great honey, and it has no sting at all. That's the one I like. (but the agressive bees make more honey I have to admit)
Yeah, kinda figured you were putting on aires. You can't hide it all though. Especially when you make comments like "Fixing to move to......". :D
My syntax gets pretty mixed up at times - you see, I have been married to an editor for 25+ years - from the North. So, I can write pretty well after have a personal tutor for 25+ years. ::)
When we first met - I told her that my English wasn't that bad. I bet her a dollar for every mistake I made - I lost 13 dollars in about 10 minutes.
It was either stop the bet, or stop talking. :o

Bro. Noble - wouldn't have been easier just to stop talking? I mean, I could have saved myself lots and lots of problems... ::)
Welcome LJ from a Wisconsin countryboy--a hick at heart. :)
We have been told that those mean bees it slowly but surely making there way north :( I need some of those stingless bees :o
We just started a hive this year . Cousin bought some bees out of the south . one of the hives had nasty bees . He could not get close to the hive. So he snuffed em. Welcome to the board
