Title: G 27 Specs
Post by: WH_Conley on June 18, 2006, 12:30:10 AM
I just came across an old Onan G27 engine, seems to be in good shape, hadn't been started in a couple of years and had it running in minutes. Can't find any specs on it ie: torque, rpm. Anybody know anything about this antique? I tried what few small engines sites that I knew of and did a Google search with no results. ( Google a G27 and all you get is Glock). Any help appreciated.

You won't be able to get parts for it much longer if at all.  Onan's dropped in the US due to EPA regs.

Onan will unfortuately = boat anchor.

They say they'll dealers will continue to carry parts, but call around.  They ain't carrying from what I've found.

I've got one running.  I'll sell cheap..  ;D

Talked to a dealer today, gave me the info.

My G 24 is still running, barely.

The G 27 was traded to me for a smaller engine for a kids lawn tractor, sounds great.

JP maybe we could take two and make one. :D

Thanks for the input.
