Title: Changing engines on Wood-Miser
Post by: oldwannabe on July 08, 2006, 10:07:28 PM
My LT 40 Wood Miser currently has a 16 h.p. Cohler.  I'm thinking about changing to a 24 h.p. Honda engine. (GX 670).  Has anybody done this?  If so please let me know if this worked out very good for you.  Please let me know the ends and outs of it.  Thanks-¢¢¢

Welcome to the Forum.

Wish I could be of help.  I swapped out an 18HP B&S for a 20 Onan so that ain't going to help you much.  Only that I had help from Wood-Mizer.  They have parts to make many swaps easier.  But I don't think they've ever put a Honda engine on their mills.

Anyway,  for what it's worth,  here is a link to their web site showing some of the engine swap kits they have available.
