Well, it's that time of year for the weekend warrior to get started. I got to put the new-to-me skidder (jd 440b) to work and it was simply a lot of fun--uh I mean work. Here's a few pics of the first day back. Anyone else started winter harvesting?

Well now, it looks like you got a whack o' logs out of da bush already.
You can come and skid for me anytime you want. I got a couple that'll put that 440B to the test too. ;D

I had hoped to be back in the woods by now but the honey-do list and wet weather have put me behind a bunch. I am hoping for a dry fall so I can finish my roadwork and begin harvesting the trees damaged in the last harvest.
I may go out and drop some trees just so I am not totally rusty when I go to the cutter IV classes at the end of the month.
