Well, we have our Auctions started. I'm announcing this one again for Burlkraft, Santa Steve as he's know around these parts this time of year, cause he's shy and has no ferns or other elves to hide behind. This is a great Item that I know many of you could use it for everything. Here is Steve's description:

A Tormek Super Grind 2000. Accessories include: Tool Rest (everything is an accessory with these guys) Knife grinding jig, Gouge grinding jig, Chisel grinding jig, Planer/Jointer knife grinding jig, Stone dresser, Profiled leather honing wheel, Honing compound, all manuals and an edge angle gauge. Everything is new or like new. I see the stone has a chip out of it, but that's about all I found wrong. It's a slow speed wet grinder. Does a nice job

The Ebay listing has several more pictures. Thanks again Steve!

You should be able to do any length....You just can't do it in one pass, you have to re-clamp the jig.

Jeff...You are just so much more eloquent than me....I'm never gonna hear the end of the fern thing either...am I  ???   ???

The Tormek is a great sharpening tool.  We have it in the shop at Woodcraft.  It takes the final surface of your tool beyond a "sharpening" to a "honing".   A little patience is needed because of the finer grinding stone than most bench grinders, but it is well worth the extra couple of minutes needed.

Well this went for a fair price. ???

Was it a Forestry Forum member who won it or an outsider?

As near as I can tell it was someone outside the forum. I can correlate any email or anything to identify them as a member. They haven't paid yet so the information is still limited.
