Title: Look what the Log Fairy brung me! A Whack of Cypress Logs!
Post by: PC-Urban-Sawyer on January 16, 2007, 07:01:23 PM
Well, my wife didn't believe that story either...

I spent some spare time the last couple of weeks felling cypress at a small land clearing operation. The site foreman let me have them, all I had to do was cut them and move them from the site. He used his equipment o pile them along side the road and last Saturday I got a tree removal service to move them from the site to my home (yes, I know most people call the tree removal services to take trees out of their yard, not to deliver more...)

First a few pictures of the cypress staged for pickup at the clearing site.

The first log lands by skyhook (well it was a pretty big crane).

Not bad. About thirty logs, should average about 100 BF each. Sure will make a nice front porch.
