Though I read a discousion on how to adjust this thing a while back ??? But don't remember :'( Mine will lif a load but when you let go the lift handle it will drop a few inches then hold ::) Those few inches are really jarring my bones . Can someone tell me how to fix this thing ??? It is on a TJ 225 Thanks
Ya might want to go and ask this on the Forestry and Logging wich would be a clic here (https://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?board=4.0) from being there :)
I'm guessing that this winch is modern enough to have a hydraulic cylinder to engage and release the cable. If so you need to adjust the nut on the lever that tightens on the brake band. Not to tight or you will have a terrible time trying to pullout your cable
Thanks I'll try that 8) I though every one read all the boards ::) I know I saw this discused not long ago but I'm not good at finding things :'(
