Does anyone know of a good company to buy peeled logs for railing? I do make custom log railings for clients, but a client this morning asked if I could build some more railing that was put around this porch 27 years ago. It is all very uniform in size, but it is not totally round. It appears to be peeled with a draw knife but there is no curve or crook to any of the sticks so I am guesssing it was machined. The top and bottom rails are d shaped and the spindles just stop on this flat area. Not really my cup of tea, but I do understand why the customer wants it to match the old railing. I think it would be easiest to just buy this material and then put it together. ::) ??? :)
I might know a source. Could you post a picture?
I will try to get a pic in the next couple days. :)
