Title: solar/fiber optic lights
Post by: Crunchycon on June 04, 2007, 12:22:10 AM
Does anyone know where I can find info on solar lights with a parabolic collector and fiber optic transfer?
I've heard about such a system but can't locate any manufacturers.

I put in 5 solar tubes in my house. 2 in my shop and 3 in the house. They work great providing you have sunlight.

I saw a system on a TV show years ago called "Beyond 2000". THe system was made by a japanese co. and called the lotus blossum. It had a dish based collector on the roof that funneled collected light minus the infared into fiber optic conduits that fed into the building.
