Title: New (to me) dust collector
Post by: ohsoloco on June 12, 2007, 08:28:47 PM
Today I picked up a dust collector for my shop.  I'm sure it's overkill for my little space, but I couldn't pass it up.  The high school is being renovated, and they removed the dust collector for one of the shops and had it up for salvage.  It's an American Air Filter Roto-clone dynamic precipitator.  Can't seem to find any information about it on their website, at least not the type that I have (type D, size 10....whatever that means).  Anyone know where I can find any information on one of these  ???

Pics to come later  ;)

With a name like that I'd be affraid it'd suck the air out of my lungs :D :D

I look forward to the pics.  Sounds like that baby would work on a mill 8)

In order to get it up and running it will need a concrete pad to be bolted to.  Also, the motor that is on it is a 5 hp. three phase unit, so I'll need to find a single phase motor to bolt onto it.  It even came with the hopper packed full of sawdust...as if there isn't enough of that around here already  ::)
