Title: found a nice group of trees might get in sawmilling
Post by: semologger on June 26, 2007, 08:57:05 PM
i found this tract of timber to cut its 600 acres and a lot of it hasnt been cut since early 1900. last time was with mules. i havent got to see it yet the guys dad past away a couple years away and his mom looks after the place but he is 2 hours away from the job and i am 3 hrs away.

it is around the northen side of lake of the ozarks in missouri and i was wondering if any one was around there or cut timber there. i am needing to find a market to sell to. also what is the ground and timber like around there.

i have found a couple circle mills. my dad has headsawed for since he was 15. so looks like i am going to learn how.

the only thing i hate is my hydroax a cutting machine is a shear head so its going to be chainsaw work.

any info i would love to get thanks guys
