Title: Log Weight /Footage Ratio
Post by: dail_h on August 28, 2007, 09:12:19 PM
Got a potential job, where the customer wants some oak for a horse barn. Problem if all the loggers here now sell by the ton. Approx how many board feet to the ton, mixed 12 to16-18 in?

Rule of thumb on oak logs is 6 ton/Mbf.
