I get a chill up my spine when I see arbor bearings lag bolted to a wooden husk.where is that blade going if it climbes out of the log.Through bolts only.On my old mill I put a truck "U" bolt just behind the collar bearing ,not touching of course. If the bearing ever came loose it would get caught by the "U" bolt.I put a 2" pipe safety bar between the sawyer and blade.Ran clutch linkage to sawyers platform so clutch could be dissengaged with a kick.Seems like the big wheel is always throwing something in your face, hang a piece of chainmail type material between you and the top of the saw. What did I leave out??
