Mom and Pop wanted a new TV so I got elected to research and pickout the one for tem. I bought a Hitachi 42" plasma and they love it. However, being about 3" thick you can't set a leaded glass shade lamp on top of it. So, who you think got elected to build a cabinet for it to sit in? Built this out of Pa. cherry through and through except for one hard maple board that is on the back bottom of the cabinet. Looked kind of plain so I embellished the door front a little. Knowing how you guys like pictures and I've fallen behind in posting any thought I'd better get some on here before being ostricided. >:( I'm going to remove the base from the TV and mount it in the cabinet, but have to make a bracket for it yet.

Just kidding.........You did a fine job, making something that could have been plain and practical into a custom made piece of furniture. I like the design 8).
Beautiful piece of woodworking! I love the carved relief at the bottom too. This brings back the days of the cabinet TV's. Well done!
