Title: Electric mill cord controll?
Post by: jim blodgett on March 23, 2008, 01:27:05 PM
Recently set up our new Linn Lumber electric bandsaw mill and I'd like to get the cord up off the slab.  Anyone know of a ready made overhead cord support system?

What have you seen?  How did you deal with this issue?

thanks.

Here is a link to a previous discussion: Festoon Ideas (https://forestryforum.com/board/index.php/topic,24921.0.html)

The most common I have seen is to string a cable alongside of the mill and hang the cable from a few small pulleys. It's cheap, quick and works well. I have also seen tracks with little trolleys in them, but they cost more.
