Had a bit of a wicked storm roll though our little town last nite, couple of big signs down on the highway, some roofs blown off and lots of trees down, came home this morning got right on the bobcat and spent the day clearing roads in town so the power and phone people could get in and get the lines back up.
The guys from the national weather service was in town to determine if it was straight line winds or a twister, I know there was lots of purple on the ol' weather map last night as we watched it march though. maybe a couple of hundred people without power and 8 or 9 phone poles snapped off.
There is some footage on some of the st. louis stations, I hate to post a link here because the video will disappear and then the link will be dead, but it you go to ksdk.com and click the randolph county video link you can see some raw footage...BTW on that video the guy cutting the tree with the hand saw is my neighbor across the street... :D
There is a tornado just south of me at Pontiac Ill rightr now . Here it is just thundering and cloudy.
Is that up by bradley?
Looks a little rough up there right now.
I heard tonite at our chamber meeting that the weather service said it was a tornado.
We had one tree that was pulled up and deposited on the roof of the house :o
