Title: Click It or Ticket!
Post by: Mooseherder on June 25, 2008, 06:24:40 PM
Pulled into a Gas Station yesterday next to a Florida DOT passenger van that had a Mural covering every side of the vehicle promoting the use of Seat Belts.  The Theme on it Was "Click It or Ticket" with a large seatbelt pic on it.
The driver walked out of the store, entered the van and drove off! :D
He never clicked it as I watched him pull away. :D

Yeah, and Florida Highway Patrol just announced that it was gonna start ticketing drivers that didn't change into the inside lane when passing a traffic stop or reduce speed to 20 MPH below posted speed limit on 2-lane roads passing stops.

Florida drivers and visitors beware!!

That's already the law in a lot of states up here Slabs.
A fellow I work with was ticketed in IN last summer for not moving over fast enough, for an officer that was parked off the shoulder of the road as a "move over trap".
The officers now park/stop over the line in traffic so you'll actually hit them if you don't move over.
All it really does is cause traffic problems as folks try to move over or slow down at the last second.

I never was one for seat belts till I started working in Egypt. Now I wear one faithfully. These guys will scare the scrappola out of you.

Wait till an accident with fatalities is caused by one of these "traps". I can see someone reacting at the last moment to avoid a ticket. Won't the lawyers have fun with that. :(
