Is anyone out there in the wild blue yonder having problems with Timberkings resharpening program?. We put some resharps on yesterday and they were all over the place when cutting some maple. We are not pleased.
I suggest you contact them. They were always pretty good to deal with when I was running a TK. I never did use thier resharp though. No such thing then.
Dont be to quick to blame the blades. I'm saying this from a different realm of experience, but there certainly is other answers other then blade problems. Maple is one of those woods I always dreaded sawing on the circle mill because you never knew from one batch of logs to the next how they were going to saw. I could have that saw just humming in white oak, red oak, birch, aspen, but get to a maple log and have the thing leading all over the place and then cutting perfectly until the next maple log.
It could be the logs are demanding a different tooth configuration.
i use their resharp and have had no problems.
I've had trouble cutting maple with brand new blades, try setting them a little more. Steve
