Title: 380s husky

can anyone help with info on this saw,loks like it had a chain
brake of sorts on it spring set up ??

shapened this saw chain today in the usual  way went off real quik can u help keef

When you say "went off" do you mean the chain came off the bar?

G'day keef,
Im guessing by "went off", you mean it dulled quickly?  Other than the obvious ones of digging trenches with the bar tip  ;) :D or cutting very hard wood, Im not sure.  Do you know the history of the chain?  Maybe someone got into it with a grinder, and cooked the cutters, which will make it unable to hold an edge for any length of time.

In that case ... did you take the rakers down after you sharpened the cutters?
