Title: Husqvarna 288xp
Post by: stumpy on October 18, 2008, 11:56:04 AM
I'm looking for a bigger saw.  I have a 359 with a 20" and a 570 with a 24".  Occasionaly I need something bigger to handle a 28" or maybe 32"  I came across a 288xp, a 371XP and a 394XP.  Any thoughts?

394xp, I guess - surely not 371.......

I've got a 394XP. It died from a fuel line failure, but it's being rebuilt, albeit slowly. ::) I really like that saw. The anti-vibe is good, and great power. Parts also seem to be readily available, I don't know about the other models you mentioned.

I'm not familiar with any of those saw but I do have 285 and the weight difference between it and the 385 is very noticeable the newer saw are a lot lighter  the 300 series
