Just got a new to me 034. Dayum clean saw, runs killer, bar and chain are garbage...
Was wondering if I change over to 3/8 will it handle 24" skip chain, no hardwood?

Yes, my firewood cutting partner runs a 034 with a 24" bar, 3/8"x.050 Stihl brand full skip chisel chain RSF I think. If you bury the whole bar it's probably going to bog some, but it's nice for the added reach, not so much bending over and such.
