The plane looks like a B52 from that angle. The event was Thunder over Louisville. (Air Show)

And Rader Bill is correct.  ;) It is a B- 52 F-52 comming in for a strafing run using all tracer rounds in it's 50 cal guns. :D  I hope no one believes that.
I just can't fool A military man like Radar67. It is a B-52 making a fly by at the air show before the Thunder Over Louisville Fireworks. I live just 45 miles away and this year was the first year I have gone to the event. Amomg about 50 planes performing at the air show, I thought the F-22 was the best. That plane did some things that I didn't thing was possible.  They had a civilian flying a helicopter doing some things that even DanG probably hasn't done. It was announced that flying a helo upside down is easy once, but the trick is to be able to do it twice.  ;)

Definitely a B-52 and I believe it's a "D" model.

I worked on them for 2 years while I was stationed at Dyess AFB, Abilene, TX, 1970-1972.

Seen all kinds of them here before Loring closed. Cracked the glass in a  couple windows. A couple were lost in back woods NB from crashes. ;)

I live close to Whiteman Air Base and see them all the time, along with Stealths and A-6 Warthogs. I know in VIetnam, it sure woke you up when the B-52's dropped near you. :o

We grew up a few minutes from Loring AFB.  There was always a B-52 in the air along with suppport fighters.
People were devasted when they closed Loring.  Others would say the animals came back after all that noise was over with.
