Title: LT40 Super drive motor out......debarker will work fine....
Post by: boman1 on July 12, 2009, 06:32:06 PM
Friday my LT40 Super's carrige drive motor went out. I have an order for 36 12X12 20's and couldnt afford to be down for several days waiting on the new motor to come in. I removed my debarker motor, went to Tractor Supply and purchased a sheave to fit the 7/8" shaft of the debarkers motor and an inch longer belt to fit the "slightly" larger sheave. Everything else will bolt right up. I'm back in business! The speed change isnt noticeable. Just for your info......:)

The motors are the same horsepower, rpm's and frame. But the shaft size is different. The forward/back motor is 1/2" shaft, where the debarker has a 7/8" shaft. The external mount bracket for the debarker is removeable too.
