Happy thanksgiving to all the Canajun members.  Once again I have been incredibly blessed this past year and have much to be thankful for.

Oh!!   Is it Canadian Thanksgiving again??

Y'all need to be a little more vocal about it.  We United Statesians would help you celebrate with a big meal if we just knew.  :)

We had no Turkey this year, probably next one.
We had pork chops with onions and mushrooms instead, which came with Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon "Santa Isabela".
The sweet final was pumpkin pie, not a homemade one, but from the Superstore. Was not bad at all.

Not too bad for a first Thanksgiving, eh?  ;D

Well.... there was:

Turkey
Home made dressing and gravy
Beets prepared with vinegar and sugar and cooked ( I think an old recipe grandmother made)
Cauliflower with cheese
Garden carrots and peas
Potatoes of course ;D
Buttercup squash

Pumpkin Pie
Apple crumble

Living near by the state of Maine we can buy turkey for $0.69-$0.99 a lb.

I guess this would be a great place to jump in, newbie here. :)

This Thanksgiving it was just me and the wife, no kids, no screaming grand kids!

Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, corn, cranberry sauce and cheesecake. 8)

The sun was out and we had a great pre-dinner walk.

Welcome D Hagens,

are you in the Fraser Valley?

We had friends over and put a good dent in a 20 lb turkey and spuds and Brussel sprouts and other veggies from our garden and then pumpkin pie and apple crisp and then more pie and more crisp :)

Toni,

we're going to have to figure out how to get you up here for some Chili...
