Got a question ----Does 40,000 visits mean anything? Don't know if it's a milestone or just another number along the way to 100,000 visits.

Yup, pretty cool. The averages are set using stats from day 1. I remember the first month the only stats I had was when I visited to see if anybody else did! When we had a day with 10 visits I thought that was huge. Now, if we have less then 180 visitors in a day, I think were in a slump.
Right now, were in a slump.
So now the 7000th post was this morning. That's 3000 posts in just less than 2 months (by old math anyway). I'd say the pace is picking up a bit. Way to go Jeff, Tom, et al!

I know it's Jeff's baby but it does my heart good to see all the comraderie. This is what life is all about.
Those Corporate Gurus who worry about the cut of their suit and the brand of their shoe, walking around the office all day concerned about a knife in their back, don't really understand what makes the world go round.
It's friendship, helping one another, throwing jealousy and pomposity to the wind, being proud of what you do, succeeding on your own and having a compliment of society that appreciates what you do and stands behind you.
The more posts means more members and a new member means a another body saved form that self consuming quagmire that consumes the rest of society. :P :D

Whoops, I was looking at the date on the last message in the thread rather than the first! :-[
So I asked my boy to check my figures ( he uses new math I think). I say 9/5/01 to 1/18/02 (which is what the date is today Jeff ::) ) is definately just about 4 1/2 months, he concurs.
